Background:
This over-subscribed school, which has two applications for every place, is committed to fostering a 'caring, Christian' atmosphere. Priests visit the school regularly to educate pupils in matters of faith. Security is constantly upgraded and visitors to the school are carefully monitored. There is a House system of awarding points and commendation awards are given out in assembly. Children join one of four Houses, and there are inter-House competitions throughout the year. Physical education involves numerous different activities, including dance and drama, and one year group in Key Stage 2 has swimming lessons for two terms of the year. It is hoped that parents will become actively involved in the Parent-Teacher Association. The school is 'committed to helping children on their journey with Christ', while encouraging respect for other cultures.
