Background:

High Ash is a voluntary controlled Church of England co-educational school, for children aged four to 11 years. The school is situated in the village of Great Brickhill on the outskirts of Milton Keynes. It enjoys a panoramic, rural setting with all the facilities of a large town on the doorstep. Its grounds are both attractive and functional including a quiet garden area, activity playground areas, outdoor swimming pool, hard court games facilities and playing fields. Inside, the children benefit from light, spacious, well-equipped classrooms and shared areas such as the library and ICT room, food technology and hall/gymnasium. The children are encouraged to participate in a wide range of activities including music, drama and sport. There is the opportunity to take lessons in violin, piano, guitar, recorder and a variety of wind and brass instruments. The children's education is enriched through appropriate day visits and residential trips. The school is committed to the Healthy Schools standard. There is a very active school association. The school aims to serve its community by providing an education of the highest quality within the context of Christian belief and practice.
