The school is in modern, well-appointed buildings set on an attractively wooded hilltop site. The school's smart, spacious classrooms are completed by first-class facilities that promote an excellent working atmosphere. The school has a sports club which includes soccer, rugby, netball, dance, athletics, rounders and basketball as well as more unusual ones like table tennis, rhythmic gymnastics and skiing. The school has achieved the following awards including Artsmark Silver in 2003 and DfES achievement award in 2003 and Investor in People status in 2003.
